I am a caring, compassionate, and dedicated. I am sensitive, patient, flexible and I love what I do. I have over thirty years of experience of working at the NHS and following on from my MA Drama course in Cardiff I found Dramatherapy and was hooked. I came to Dramatherapy later on in life and found it combined my love of drama, the arts and helping people. I studied MA Dramatherapy in London in 2018 and the rest is history. I am friendly and approachable and have worked online and face to face.
My main aim is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship and to tailor therapy sessions to your specific therapeutic needs. Making a positive impact through my work is the core of what I do which is to help you and work through whatever you need to.
My qualifications are BA Hons Drama, MA Drama and MA Dramatherapy. I am undertaking online courses currently which include Advanced CBT, NLP, Behavioural Therapy, Trauma, Anxiety and Mental Health and Bereavement Counselling. I am always working to expand my knowledge of other ways of working therapeutically and I am always learning from my clients and my colleagues. I am registered with the Health and Social Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a full member of the British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth).
I have volunteered working with people with Dementia and love community theatre and have run groups. I love crafting and am an avid sewer. I love making and creating my own clothes, bags, accessories which I find very therapeutic. I love walking and being outside in nature. I also love the theatre from Shakespeare to musicals to community group performance. I am passionate about the arts and design and make my own crafts to sell at craft fayres.
